Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Video Game Revealed

The anime for ‘Boku wa Tomodachai ga Sukunai (I Have Few Friends)‘ is schedule to be out this Fall and now to add to the family is a PSP game – Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable. (What an original name) The release date for this game has yet to be announced.

Hachima Kikou summarized the teaser site reveal. Here are all the sentences that appeared one per night over the past several days:

If you take the number of days the teaser site had been live and find that number’s character in the sentence for each day, you end up with はがないゲーム化 (“haganai game adaptation”). A promotional video will go live on the official site August 19th.

K-On! Movie Plot Revealed

Plot (highlight to read): The members of the female high school band Ho-kago Tea Time on their graduation trip to England.

The movie will be out in cinemas in Japan on Dec 3rd.

“It will depict a story not told in the television series adaptation of kakifly’s manga, even though it will follow the five female members of Sakuragaoka High School’s light music club while they are still attending high school. The original television voice cast will reprise their respective roles in the movie, as will most of the main staff.”

So who is watching this when it is out?

Kojo Tanno New Indie Short Film

This is an interesting art style but I am not sure if I am a fan of it. For more of this videos, check out his youtube page.

One of my all time favourite short film has got to be Comedy by Kazuto Nakazawa:

I just love the animation in this short film.

ANN’s Interview with Makoto Shinkai

I love all his movies thus far, and I am eagerly anticipating his new movie – Hoshi o Ou Kodomo.

Anyway, here is a snippet of the interview he had with ANN:

“Less than ten years after his impressive debut, Voices of a Distant Star creator Makoto Shinkai is pleased to see American audiences react enthusiastically to his latest work during a packed screening at Otakon in Baltimore, MD. A film two years in the making, Shinkai calls Hoshi o Ou Kodomo his “real” directorial debut— which makes sense if you know the director’s history.

In 2001, Shinkai was a 28-year-old graphic designer who quit his job at game developer Falco to work on an ambitious project: Voices of a Distant Star. Shinkai wrote, animated, and even voiced the 25-minute original anime, which received rave reviews on both sides of the Pacific Ocean, eventually released officially in North America by ADV. Two more works followed: 2004’s The Place Promised in Our Early Days< and 2007’s 5 Centimeters Per Second.

After 5 Centimeters, Shinkai seemed to disappear off the anime industry’s map for a time. He spent 2008 in London, where he began to pen ideas for Hoshi o Ou Kodomo. He returned to Japan and worked on the film for two years; production wrapped this past March and the movie was released in Japanese theaters in May, 2011.

In an interview with ANN followed by a press conference, Shinkai spoke frankly about his works and inspirations, the growing trend towards computer-generated animation, cats, dogs, and even his own changing philosophies on life and death.” -ANN

Skip Beat! TW-Drama Air Date Announced

The air-date for the Skip Beat! Drama titled Extravagant Challenge has been announced.

Manga Plot:

“Kyoko followed her true love and childhood friend Sho to Tokyo so she could help him reach his dream of becoming an idol. She cleans, cooks, works three jobs and does nothing for herself because she loves him so much, but gets nothing in return. Still, she remains by his side. But then one day she goes unannounced to his agency with a delivery, and overhears him talking about her; he reveals to his manager that he only took her with him as a maid, and that he doesn’t care for her at all. Upon hearing this, Kyoko doesn’t just sit around and cry. She cuts and dyes her hair, changes her clothes and attitude and thus begins her journey to join showbiz and have her revenge against Sho.”

The show will be airing on Taiwan FTV on 18th December & GTV on 24th December. Such a long wait! T_T I felt like I have waited years for this show… waitaminute, I have. m(_ _)m

Random Stuff: Pokemon High Fashion Photo

I was surfing the net and someone on Crunchyroll posted this set of images of a mash-up of Pokemon Characters with Runway Models. I know it is a bit random, and most of you don’t really care about pokemon anymore or have grown out of it. But it was still and interesting find.

If you are interested in seeing more photos, you can just check out this site. The images are quite interesting to see. =)

I am going to assume that that is a man’s leg at the back and not a girl’s.

  1. Dong hae and Si won really do look like sho and ren! Who’s the pony tail girl with the white shirt? Is it moko-san?? =D

    • Yup, she is meant to be playing Moko-san. I think she is pretty but not as striking as I thought Moko’s actress should be. =p But the SJ boys do look the part. I am just worried about the whole dubbing thing. I have yet to see a TW-Drama where Korean actors act with Chinese speaking actors and there is no dub done.

Seeing as to how it is out in Dec when usually the wait for these shows are not that long. I think it will be a dub. I hope it is going to at least be good or done by the actors themselves but I doubt it. *sob* Can you image a nice show getting destroyed by horrible dubbing? T_T

  2. Yes. She’s pretty but as you said, she’s not as appealing as moko-san in the manga. But we’ll see then. =D and kyoko looks cute! Dong hae with the outfit and all, he really imitating Sho. I wonder if he can get into Sho character. 0.o

I don’t think it’s gonna be dubbing. I mean both of them can speak chinese.. right..? After all, they are Suju M members. And if it happen to be dubbing, I don’t know how I’m going to react on the acting. I hate dreadful dubbing. It’ll definitely destroy the original feelings that the story want to convey.

    • Have you seen the trailer? They speak in both Korean and Mandarine. =_=” Not sure how that would work. So far from what I have seen, DH looks like he will make a convincing Sho. I just hope that the show will be good. Been waiting for it for years. =/
