“Blood-C – The Last Dark Movie” Trailer Released

Do you remember that series back last year?

That CLAMP one?

The one with all that blood?

The one with plenty of white censored scenes and episodes that went nowhere?

What was it called again….? Oh yes, Blood-C

Its back, and with a vengence… (a cold joke for you guys made especially for you guys)

Well, despite the fact that the Blood-C series had felt like one major trailer/prologue for the movie… I just can’t bring myself to not watch this movie when it comes out in June.

Despite how much of a let down the series was, Blood-C was always meant to be a movie and as such, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt that the movie would be better than the series.

Hopefully the plot would be slightly less of a constant tease and more captivating. If all fails, at the very least one can (hopefully) bank on CLAMP delivering a good visual entertainment.

Judging from the trailer, the animation is looking good and the plot will be focused around our (not so lovable and highly dense) Saya. There seems to be an influx of new and old characters that are questioning what Says really is, alongside an on-going theme for revenge.

Blood + Monsters + Action + CLAMP… How could this be anything less than awesome?
Well, the series definitely managed to prove that it can.
*fingers crossed* that this movie will live up to the expectations the last episode of the series had managed to garner.

What do you guys think of the trailer?

Is it giving you good vibes? Has it convince you to give Blood-C another go or has the series destroyed your hope for better?

Or…. Perhaps you had loved the series and can’t wait to see this movie?

For those of you who are able to understand Jap and would like to see more of Nono and Nene…

Check the below Blood-C introduction video.

(I on the other hand don’t have much of a clue as to what is being said. ;))

  1. Does this have any relation to Blood the Last Vampire? Other than a cute girl in a school uniform that uses a sword, of course.

    • Well… It’s part of the Blood franchise, but as far as I know it doesn’t seem like there’s an obvious relation between the two apart from flashbacks scenes in the series which kinda looked like it was from “the Last Vampire”. =/

Guess we’ll have to wait and see how the movie plays out? =P

      • Is there a vampire element to it? I wasn’t sure. I took a look at the trailer and thought it might have potential. I actually liked the Blood V movie, but as so many were to me at that time Japanese anime, it felt incomplete (no good solid American ending). I’m coming to understand that that lack of “happy ending” or even ending that offers some level of cartharsis is common in Japanese culture as much as anime. Interesting, but difficult for this Western mind to grasp. Thanks for your blog. I enjoy it (we share some of the same tastes in anime) and look forward to your posts.

      • Hmm.. as for the Vampire Element… I would expect that it is probably not going to be your typical “vampire” impression.

There’s blood and the “consumption of blood”, but no Dracula blood-suckers looking to fill their stomachs in the conventional way. (whatever conventional is for vampires)

  2. On the plus side the setting of the trailer at least looks like Blood+, pun intended. I’m in but mostly because I want to see what they do with the dog spirit, aka Watanuki from xxxHolic, which I thought was a really well done series.
Its kind of hard to know what to say about a series when you realize it was more heavily censored than any type of ecchi or mildly pornographic series, but censored mostly to cause a misdirection with the viewer, not because the material is any more obscene than anything else out there.I think the Nene and Nono video was straight up recap from as much as I could understand. Thanks for the trailers .
