Hitsugi no Chaika – 07-12 Review

_C12__Hitsugi_no_Chaika_-_11.mp4 - 00001That, technically, still makes Toru a murderer by trade, I think.

There are a LOT of series these series that will get a second season later on. Well, or just a second half if you want to be nitpicky. These days a second season in the anime-industry just means a certain animation-studio couldn’t be bothered to invest enough money into a project to finance a 2-cour-series. And Hitsugi no Chaika certainly would’ve been one of those series that would’ve been better without a season-long break before its ‘second season’ would start. Also, no series should turn girl-characters into moe-blobs just for shits and giggles. White Chaika didn’t need to talk like that and after 12 episodes the series STILL hasn’t found a way to explain to me why the hell it would portray a female character like that without taking such a thing REALLY serious!

Hitsugi no Chaika – 05/06 Review

_C12__Hitsugi_no_Chaika_-_06.mp4 - 00001Well, ain’t that a Samaritan way of thinking. He sure must love being on the losing side with such great principles.

I haven’t been the biggest fan of Hitsugi no Chaika so far. One thing is definitely that those characters at the center of the story are way too young in my opinion to deliver melancholic tirades about being left without a purpose after a war. And another thing was that the story was keeping its cards too close to its chest refusing to reveal too much about the story thereby making it impossible for any real stakes to appear. Well, that is… until now. And it definitely paid off.

Review-Roundup: Black Bullet 04, Sidonia no Kishi 04, Hitsugi no Chaika 03-04

_C12__Black_Bullet_-_04.mp4 - 00003Jesus, Rentaro already said that he would kill her before she turned into a monster! No need to be such a dick about it…

There isn’t really always something interesting to say about each episode of each anime I watch but I guess sometimes gathering together various snapshots of animes to talk about some topic or other is a good enough solution, I feel like. This time around I want to talk about how differently these three series deal with the subject of consequences. Well, and I also share some other stuff about them as well… The point is, I didn’t have enough to say about each of those to warrant their own post so they get this one instead.

Hitsugi no Chaika – 01/02 Review

_C12__Hitsugi_no_Chaika_-_01.mp4 - 00008

The one good thing about Chaika’s “riveting” way of talking is that it really saves time. It’s unbelievable how few words are necessary when you reduce it all to simply blurting out the bare essentials!

Hitsugi no Chaika 01/02 – A Quest Of Sentimental Necrophilia

Welcome back to Otakuness Anime Reviews, guys! After a bit of a hiatus the blog you maybe know or haven’t actually ever heard of before is back! I’m M0rg0th, one of the writers on this blog (obviously, I guess…) and the biggest public recognition I’ve gotten was being mentioned on 4chan for a review I’ve written that everybody hated because I hated the series everybody liked for some or no reasons (long story short: it was the internet being the internet). Anyway, the first series I will review here is rather randomly chosen, it’s just one of those new ones I’m watching this season. Also, I’ve seen Scrapped Princess (which I actually like quite a bit) and was therefore interested to see how this one would turn out. Let’s see what I’ve thought of it, shall we?
