Blood C – 03 Review

And here is our weekly dosage of Blood-C to kick off the start to the weekend. If you are watching this series still, I would really like to know what pulls you back each week.

Episode 03
(contains episode spoilers)

Saya and her father are having breakfast together at Fumito’s place before she heads to school. Saya had just made Tamagoyaki for her father and you can see how badly she wants to please her father. Saya then leaves for school after having some Guimauve which made her feel all floaty. On her way to school, she breaks out into song and once again sees the dog, this time though, she manages to sneak up on the dog and pick it up.

This made Saya late for school which lead to Saya getting punished by her teacher. After school, she and her group of friends head over to Guimauve Cafe to have cakes and that is when a police man enters telling them about the missing baker.

No. 6 – 03 Review

I am unable to insert screen captures right now so I will have to insert them at a later time, sorry. Just got home and here are the screencaps I promised you all! =)

It seems like things are going to slow down from this epsiode onwards in the sense that we are not going to have a big skip in time.

This episode looks to be a plot building episode which will steer us in the direction on what the rest of the series will focus on (or so it seems that way).

Episode 3 – Life and Death
(contains episode spoilers)

We start off where the last episode left off with Shion in the west city. This city is where No. 6 dumps all it’s unwanted “trash”.

Shion is reading Shakespeare’s Macbeth in Nezumi’s room and is amazed by the story. Shion then says that books such as those were not allowed in No. 6.

Nurarihyon no Mago Sennen Makyou – 03 Review

And so all the episode 3 of the series are coming out and this is the 2nd anime I have reviewed today and it sure does not disappoint.

Episode 3
(contains spoilers)

So this episode naturally continues where last episode had left off.

Last episode was spent building up to the revelation of Rikuo’s identity. And this episode starts off with just that, now Yura finally knows who Rikuo is. The first half of the episode focuses on the fight between Yura’s brother and Rikuo. I really am not sure how to explain the fight scene, you gotta see it to understand it I guess but I shall try my best here.

No. 6 – 02 Review

After watching Blood-C, this feels like a nice breath of fresh air on a warm humid day.

Episode 02 – The Town Clad in Light
(Contains spoilers)

4 years has passed and Shion has lost his previllages to live in the chrome and his qualification to take the Special Course due to the incident in episode one on that fateful night when he met with Rat. Shion now works in a park watching over the monitors and one day he discovers a dead body in the park. This is the catalyst that starts the events that are to come.

Blood C – 02 Review

Okay, episode 2 is finally out. I started this episode with partial dread and hope. Lets see which wins out shall we?

Episode 02

So the episode starts with Saya fighting some monster for a good 2-3 minutes with no explanation. I would say this is an action for the sake of action scene. In the background, we have CLAMP the style ‘philosophy on life’ narrative (similar to some of the stuff in xxxHolic, but not done as well). After the narrative is done, we have Saya singing like she did in episode one as she leaves her home to go to school.

(I sure hope there is a deeper meaning behind her singing about her life, because for now it really seems like it is to show her infatuation over her father. I suppose it is to show the contrast between her normal self and her activated/fighting-chick side? I feel like I am fishing for a deeper meaning when there could be none.)

Toriko – Review

Having just discovered my new favourite anime, I felt like I just HAD to post a review on it.

With the new trend of wimpy/slim-line heroes, it is a breath of fresh air to see a more “manly” main character. But this “manly” main character design was also the main reason why I put off watching this anime for a whole season. The only reason why I finally picked it up is because Takahiro Sakurai is one of the voice actors for the series. Though honestly, I could not care less after watching the first episode as I had been charmed by it.

Episode 2 –  Their Justice

Ooooo, what a nice juicy epsiode filled with intertesting occurences.

The episode carries off where last season ends and we see Rikuo recruiting Yokais into his Demon Parade.

Nurarihyon no Mago Sennen Makyou – 01 Review

(Episode 1 – Nura’s Clan Third Heir Awakens)

The title basically explains the whole episode. For those who remember the flashback scene that Kana of a bus crash as a child, this episode essentially covers that scene.

Blood C – 01 Review

The episode mainly follows Saya around for a whole day from morning until night, establishing her character.

Saya is a shine maiden, just like her mother who apparently died when she was younger. The episode starts off with Saya praying in the morning trying to understand a light(oracle?) that she seem to be seeing more often recently. After her prayer has breakfast at her neighbor’s cafe and then she heads off to school where we get to see her in school as a normal school student.

At the end of school, she rushes back to the shrine where she heads off to kill ‘the old ones’ as she is the only one who is able to defeat them using a holy sword. The episode ends after she kills the old ones.
