Natsume Yuujinchou San – 03 Review

Such a heartwarming episode, although that is already a given. =)

I will upload screen captures at a later time.

Episode 3 (28)

(contains spoilers)

This episode bring back a friend from Natsume’s past called Shibata. Shibata used to bully Natsume back in elementary school and would tease him about being a liar for saying that he could see Yokais.

One afternoon after school, Shibata comes to find Natsume to ask for Natsume’s help to see if the girl he has been meeting up with called Murasaki was a Yokai. Natsume assures Shibata that Murasaki is not a yokai but a human and Shibata is relieved by the fact. That night, Natsume dreams of Murasaki eating Shibata and with the help of Nyanko-sensei, he realises that Murasaki is a yokai.

Toriko – Review

Having just discovered my new favourite anime, I felt like I just HAD to post a review on it.

With the new trend of wimpy/slim-line heroes, it is a breath of fresh air to see a more “manly” main character. But this “manly” main character design was also the main reason why I put off watching this anime for a whole season. The only reason why I finally picked it up is because Takahiro Sakurai is one of the voice actors for the series. Though honestly, I could not care less after watching the first episode as I had been charmed by it.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 02 Review

Here I thought I was going to be writing a short post but… I could not help myself.

Episode 2 (28)

(Spoilers ahead)

Ahhh, at this rate I will be starting all my reviews with a happy nostalgic sigh. Afterall, Natusume Yuujinchou just has this ability to make you all warm and fuzzy and make you want to reminisce after each episode.

So this episode focuses on the dynamics of Natusme and Tanuma’s friendship and gives us an insight into how they both handle open themselves up to one another. Also, we get to see more of Reiko’s past, and honestly, I am starting to really like her a lot, I really loved the flashback scene in this episode. You can’t help but feel that she was just a very isolated girl who used what she got to try and become friends with the yokai’s in her own odd way.

Nurarihyon no Mago Sennen Makyou – 02 Review

Ooooo, what a nice juicy epsiode filled with intertesting occurences.

The episode carries off where last season ends and we see Rikuo recruiting Yokais into his Demon Parade.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 01 Review

Sigh, the first episode of Season 3 stays true to the style of Natsume Yuujinchou.

Episode 1 (27)

(contains episode spoilers)
Natsume returns home from school one day to find a tea cup yokai outside his house. After learning that this teacup will run around alerting the family of the household of danger when it approaches and would even sacrifice itself on a whim to protect the household Natsume decides to leave it be. That night, the teacup yokai starts to run about the house and that alerts Natsume to be wary of danger in the foreseeable future.

Nurarihyon no Mago Sennen Makyou – 01 Review

(Episode 1 – Nura’s Clan Third Heir Awakens)

The title basically explains the whole episode. For those who remember the flashback scene that Kana of a bus crash as a child, this episode essentially covers that scene.

Skip Beat Anime Review

Okay, this is a waaay overdue review.

Kyoko followed her true love and childhood friend Sho to Tokyo so she could help him reach his dream of becoming an idol. She cleans, cooks, works three jobs and does nothing for herself because she loves him so much, but gets nothing in return. Still, she remains by his side. But then one day she goes unannounced to his agency with a delivery, and overhears him talking about her; he reveals to his manager that he only took her with him as a maid, and that he doesn’t care for her at all. Upon hearing this, Kyoko doesn’t just sit around and cry. She cuts and dyes her hair, changes her clothes and attitude and thus begins her journey to join showbiz and have her revenge against Sho. -ANN

Episode 1 – The Black Reaper Finds a Golden Fairy

(some spoilers ahead)

The first thing I want to say is that the OP is so pretty, (though I know I wont be able to watch the anime if it was in that style throughout the whole way) the OP art is just beautiful.

So the first thing we find out in this episode is why Kazuya is in this elite school meant for aristocrats. And because of his black hair and eyes, he is known as the kuro shinigami. But we soon find out that the nickname he had acquired is related to a ghost story. At the suggestion of a teacher, Kazuya goes to the library where he begins to read up on ghost stories and this is where he meets a doll like girl called Victorique.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi Review

Am finally back to watching anime again… perhaps it is the upcoming season of Natsume Yuujinchou (who’s looking forward to it?) or Nurarihyon no Mago, but whatever it is, this is the first anime in awhile that I after sitting down and watching one episode, I could not bring myself to stop watching.
