Episode 24 (Final) – I Love You

The series finally comes to an end on a nice sentimental note.

Although I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this ending lets the show down, this last episode wasn’t as satisfying to watch as I thought it’d be.

Perhaps it was the way the episode had unfolded on a different plane of existence with it’s cryptic messages, or perhaps it is the fact that the progress of the show had felt like it had amounted to nothing with everything turning out to be somewhat forgotten. Or maybe it was the way the show had left all the thinking up to us to connect the dots instead of making what they were trying to say come across in a clearer manner. Whatever it was, it had left me feeling like I hadn’t gotten the “epic” ending that I was hoping to see.

Episode 23 – The Destination of Fate

We are finally nearing the end of the series and whilst this episode had me at the edge of my seat, the way things had unfolded had me losing faith that the series would supply us with an ending that will be able to live up to the expectations created through the journey of the series.

Episode 22 – The Beautiful Casket

After having seen this episode, one thing is for sure, we are not going to be getting any happy endings filled with sunshine and flowers out of this series.

I have this sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach that the show is not going to “blow” my mind with an epic ending, but would instead end in an acceptable, yet dissapointing manner for the way the series has build itself up since the start.

Episode 21 – The Door of Fate we Chose

What an episode this was.

I wouldn’t expect anything less from a show by Ikuhara. With 3 episodes left in the series, it is finally time for the show to work towards it’s climax. Everyone is given screen time in this episode and revelations were a plenty. It was definitely a shocker to see how things had unfolded and I can’t wait to see how Momoka’s character plays into everything.

Episode 20 – Thank You for Choosing Me

Continuing from last episode’s shocking revelation, this week’s episode constantly flashes between the past and present in an attempt to explain the backstory leading to the eventful date and the repercussions of it.

Although I am not sure if I am liking the revelations in this episode, the story is definitely working towards a resolution and I can’t wait to see how that turns out.

Mawaru Penguindrum – 19 Review

Episode 19 – My Soulmate

This episode had turned out to be rather sentimental and I was hoping to hear more of the song Grey Wednesday. Sadly, the song wasn’t played. That is definitely my favorite song of the series.

The episode had some rather big revelation regarding Himari and her past and although we are finally getting answers to some of the questions, I feel like there are still plenty of questions left unanswered.

Episode 18 – So Please Be There For Me

Wow, that was one tense episode.

I really love how the title of the episodes are always so nicely named with it being the theme that the episode revolves around. It is always so fitting that the title is actually able to represent all the situations that happened in that episode and the relationship between the different characters. As such, I am sure that you are able to garner the fact that this episode is going to be an emotional one.

Episode 17 – The Unforgiven

It seems like we are finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this series.

All the characters and different storyline are starting to converge together and as Sanetoshi had said in this episode, “The war is about to break out.”

Probably not one of the best episode but still a decent episode.

We finally get to learn more about our dear Masako and the past that haunts her.
