Natsume Yuujinchou San – 13 (Final) Review

I think it involves a poking object, some pain and a lot of screaming. Then again, that just sounds like Blood-C.

Episode 13 (39) – Natsume’s Book of Play

So this episode brings the theme of a series to a full circle but seem to have been struck by the curse of disappointing endings.

The story for this episode seemed all over the place and choppy but the good thing was that the last 5 minutes of the show did manage to bring everything back together again and leave you with that familiar warm and fuzzy feeling before bidding us farewell until Season 4 comes around 3 months later.

Season 4 of Natsume Yuujinchou announced!

Okay, this is shocking. I did expect a 4th Season of Natsume to be announced so soon.

We are yet to be done with Season 3 and we already have Season 4 to look forward to!

The fourth season of Natsume is going to be titled Natsume Yuujinchou Shi (no shock there as it literally translates to Natsume Yuujinchou 4)

I can’t wait for the new season to be out. It looks like that season may be more focused on the Matoba plot and hopefully this would translate into us being able to see a stronger Natsume on screen.

-ra out!

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 12 Review

“You know you want to eat it Natsume. Look how nice and green it is.”

Episode 12

Sadly, this would be the second last episode of this season and that means that after next week, we won’t be seeing Natsume on our screens until Brains Base decides to produce a season 4.

Just like the other episodes of this series, this episode focuses on Natsume’s relationships with the people around him. However, instead of focusing on his friends this episode focuses on his relation with the Fujiwara couple that he lives with.

I am feeling a tad sleepy so please excuse my lack of clarity. I hope you enjoy the review though.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 11 Review

I never knew I looked so ugly

Episode 11 (37)

I was contemplating putting this review off until tomorrow due to my current uninspired mood, but…need I say more?

My lack of motivation is all due to combination of life + Kousuke Atari (singer of Natsume’s ED song) songs. He has a way with his voice that gets me in such a nostalgic mood that I lose the motivation do anything. Although this episode did have some of the Natsume nostalgia in it, it was erratic and kept dropping in and out of the episode.

Oh, by the way, if you folks are waiting for a review by M0rg0th, he won’t be able to post anything until Thursday. I hope you will be patient and wait for an influx of late reviews by him. =) Meanwhile, I shall carry on my merry way with this review…

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 10 Review

Why does Natsume bother to put a leash on Nyanko Sensei?

Episode 10 (36)

This is going to be another double episode story again, but this time, it is not looking like it would be as exciting nor good as the previous one.

After last week’s episode of Natsume understanding the fact that people are dependent on one another, this episode continues on from that development by having Natsume, Tanuma and Taki actively helping each other out.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 09 Review

Episode 09 (35)

This show always does a good job at lifting my spirits after work every Tuesday. I am not sure what I am going to do when this season is finally over.

Another week and another consistently good episode of Natsume that does not disappoint. I felt that this episode is a turning point for Natsume’s character as he learns his place in the lives of others and vice versa.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 08 Review

Episode 08

Ahhh…. what a nice Natsume episode. I personally don’t think that it was as good as some of the other episodes this season but it was still a good one.

The main focus of this episode is on Time. The importance of relationship between the Yokais and Natsume is reinforced by the idea that despite both beings live on different planes of time, every single moment did exist and is important. The show portrays this by reintroducing Kogitsune and have the story revolve around him.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 07 Review

Episode 07 (33)

Awwww… this was a good episode of Natsume. Probably my favourite episode this season so far and this season has been good. This is the second time this season that I actually feel like I want more episodes of Natsume now! Usually the show just wraps itself in a nice wholesome package leaving a deep sense of peace, but this episode got me excited.

This episode completes the Matoba arc which started last episode and is filled with intense and sad moments as oppose to the usual heartwarming scenes of bonding.

Ahh!! I think I broke my neck

Episode 6 (32)

I LOVE THIS EPISODE!!! I feel like dancing around screaming “FINALLY!”.

I was thinking that this was going to be more of the same but this is exactly what I felt Natsume needed, a storyline that spans over more than one episode and the return of Matoba Clan as well as Natori.

Natsume Yuujinchou San – 05 (31) Review

Episode 5 (31)

This was not one of the more heartwarming episodes, but it was still a good one and we did get to see Taki and Tanuma again in this episode. It is always nice meeting the old cast.

Episode Summary

Natsume and Tanuma decide to stop outside Taki’s house to take shelter from the rain. Just as they were leaving, Taki opens the door and invites them in with Nyako-sensei in her arms. Tanuma and Natsume then help Taki to clean out the storage room in Taki’s house and whilst there, Natsume tears down a image of a Kappa that was hung upside down.
